Horea leads Imagination’s software teams, overseeing the full software stack across Graphics, AI & Compute. He has over 15 years of international experience and a strong track record of building global organisations, driving transformation, and delivering innovation across the semiconductor and embedded software industries.

Since joining Imagination in 2020, Horea has expanded the company’s global software footprint, established new engineering centres, and strengthened collaboration between hardware and software teams. Prior to joining, he held senior leadership roles at Frontier Silicon and earlier technical positions at Movidius, Yazaki. Alongside his corporate career, Horea has served as a university lecturer, sharing his expertise in embedded software with the next generation of professionals, helping bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice.

Horea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Automotive Embedded Systems. He is based in Timișoara, Romania.
