Sponsored Session
At the conference, we are proud to sponsor this session in collaboration with O3DE to present our experiences on building the ray traced global illumination demo, which was built from the ground up using the engine’s editor and powered by O3DE’s Atom Renderer.
Session title: Open-Source Ray Tracing: Ray Traced Global Illumination in Open 3D Engine and the Road to Mobile Ray Tracing
Date/Time: 23rd March 15:30-16:30
Location: Session 5 #WH2009
Presenters:

Abstract
This talk focuses on sharing Imagination’s experiences getting started with the Open 3D engine (O3DE) – fully open-source, modular, cross-platform engine created by Amazon and currently managed by the Linux Foundation. It will delve deep into the key aspects and challenges Imagination faced building its “Buongiorno” ray traced global illumination demo, which was built from the ground up using the engine’s editor and powered by O3DE’s Atom Renderer. It will also discuss how Imagination brought hardware ray tracing to its mobile GPUs.
