Meet us at GDC and take your dev game to the next level

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) brings the game development community together to exchange ideas, solve problems, and shape the future of the industry across five days of education, inspiration, and networking. Imagination Technologies will be there to showcase our cutting-edge technologies including the IMG A-series and PowerVR Ray Tracing. These are game-changing technologies and something you do not want to miss finding out more about!
PowerVR Graphics Processors, GDC 2020

Leading Graphics Processors

IMG A-series is the latest and greatest GPU architecture offering class-leading performance density. Offering outstanding graphics, AI and compute performance, it can be tailored for multiple markets. It delivers significant improvements over its predecessor, with 2.5x the performance of current shipping PowerVR IP, 8x faster AI processing and 60% lower power.
Ray Tracing, GDC 2020

Ray Tracing Technology

PowerVR Ray Tracing is a revolutionary 3D graphics technology that mimics how light behaves in the real world to create visuals with astonishing realism, while also enabling developers and content creators to simplify their workflow. Developers can access our ray tracing technology through open standards using extensions to OpenGL® ES and Vulkan®.
PowerVR SDK and Tools, GDC 2020

Developer SDK and Tools

Imagination’s industry-leading tools enable developers to rapidly create and optimise their applications for the PowerVR GPU architecture using standards such as OpenGL® ES and Vulkan®. So whether you want to sharpen your shaders, focus in on frames per second or bash those bugs, our groundbreaking tools will help you deliver the best possible user experience.
The ultimate mobile gaming experience

The ultimate mobile gaming experience

Imagination’s PowerVR graphics is designed for the best gaming experience on mobile, tablet, smart TV and set-top box. Optimisations for power efficiency means it delivers consistent, sustainable frame rates without clock throttling, so gamers can play harder, for longer. With features such as visually lossless PVRIC4 compression, completely reworked anisotropic sampling and new level of detail algorithms image quality is never less than impeccable.

Rendering Roblox: Vulkan Optimisations on Imagination PowerVR GPUs

Deep dive into the lighting and shadow systems of the latest Roblox engine. We’ll be exploring the voxel lighting system, EVSM shadow mapping implementation, shader optimisations, and other recent features of the Roblox renderer. Additionally, we’ll see how each of these has been tailored for mobile GPUs in Vulkan, as well as how they are optimised for the new IMG A-Series GPU architecture. With the release of its new powerful GPU IP, Imagination Technologies has been working closely with Roblox to investigate low-level performance improvements that will give players the best gaming experience.
